Since the birth of Christianity, Christians have been persecuted for their beliefs! Jesus Himself warned those who would follow Him that this would be the case. It seems nothing much has really changed! (I'm really glad, though, that nowdays in the Western World we aren't thrown to the lions!) I praise and thank God that He loves, strengthens and supports us through everything we may be called upon to suffer for the sake of the His Gospel! As Christians, we believe that the Bible is the Word of God, and in the Word Homosexuality is actually described as an "Abomination"! However, I hope Mr. McAlpine also explained that, whilst God hates the sin, he loves the sinner so much that He "....gave His only Begotten Son, so that if anyone would believe in Him, that person would receive Eternal Life"! (John 3:16) God hates ALL sin, not just homosexuality, and Christians have been commissioned by Christ to bring the "Good News" of Salvation to ALL people! If we love and Honour our Lord Jesus Christ and truly believe in His wonderful plan for Salvation, we can do no less, no matter what the cost!
